Sandi’s Taco Salad

A mouth-watering splash of Summer that's quick and simple to make. The whole family will beg for seconds.

Equipment

  • Medium Skillet
  • Large Mixing Bowl Re-sealable

INGREDIENTS 

  • 1 lb. Ground Chuck - 80/20
  • 2 Tbsp. Chili Powder
  • 1 Small Head of Lettuce
  • 3 Small Tomatoes - Diced
  • ½ Red Onion - Chopped
  • 1 cup Medium Cheddar Cheese - Grated
  • cups Catalina Salad Dressing - (See note)
  • Tortilla Chips - Nacho Flavored

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Cook beef in a medium frying pan over medium-high heat until it crumbles and is no longer pink. Drain, then stir in Chili Powder and allow to cool.
  • While beef is cooling, chop onion, lettuce, and tomatoes into bite-sized pieces and combine in a large re-sealable mixing bowl.
  • Add cheese, dressing, and beef, mixing well to combine.
  • Plate and then add Crushed Tortilla Chips as a topping.

Notes

Option:  You man substitute French Dressing for Catalina.
