ANTONE’S ORIGINAL ANTIPASTO SALAD

This Y-Town Italian Restaurant was on Market Street just south of the Market Street Bridge for decades and this salad was a staple of every meal served. A bit of nostalgia.

  • Large Mixing Bowl

INGREDIENTS 

SALAD (Amounts per YOUR taste)

  • Lettuce - Variety of your choice
  • GREEN ONION – Chopped
  • GREEN PEPPER – Chopped
  • SALAMI & PEPPERONI – 1/2″ Cubes
  • TUNA – Chunk White in Water - Drained

INSTRUCTIONS

DRESSING

  • Oil & Vinegar
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Garlic Salt (Optional)
  • Oregano & Romano Cheese (Finely Grated)

OR

  • Good Seasons Italian Dressing Mix – Prepared according to package instructions.

The Original Antone’s Restaurant on Market Street was just a few blocks south of the top of the Market Street Bridge.  It was a favorite of the Downtown Youngstown crowd for lunches and with an Italian Cuisine, white tablecloths,  crystal, and Chianti-bottle candles on each table, it was that “Special” place for a romantic dinner for two.
