Kurací Paprikáš (Stove Top Chicken Paprikash)
Stove-top care-free Recipe for delicious fall-off-the-bone Chicken in true Hungarian style.Difficulty: Easy

Equipment
- Dutch Oven or Large Frying Pan
INGREDIENTS
- 6 Bone-in Chicken Legs &/or Thighs
- 1 Onion finely chopped - large – finely chopped
- 1 can Mushroom Pieces - 8 oz.
- 1 can Tomato Paste - 6 oz.
- 2 Tbs Oil
- 1 tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Pepper
- 2 ½ Tbs Paprika - Smoked or Sweet
- 2 Cups Heavy Cream - (Optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Heat pot/pan with Oil.
- Brown Chicken parts on all sides and remove from pot, covering with foil.
- Add Onion, and Mushrooms to pot.
- Sauté until Onions are translucent.
- Add Tomato Paste, Paprika, Salt, and Pepper. Blend to meld flavors.
- Place Chicken back in pot.
- Add just enough water to cover Chicken and bring back to a simmer.
- Cook until Chicken is cooked through (about 45 minutes). 165° F Internal Temp.
- Water will decrease to about 1/4 of the original volume.
- Add Heavy Cream and stir to combine. (Optional)
