Fish – Breaded

For Haddock, Cod, Halibut, Tilapia, or Catfish. This light and crispy recipe with a sweet and mild flavor is a healthy dinner option.

Equipment

  • Rimmed Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Shallow Bowl or Plate
  • Air Fryer (Optional)

INGREDIENTS 

  • 4 Fish fillets - approx. 1 ½ lb
  • 1 ½ cups Regular or Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp. Paprika
  • ¼ cup EVOO
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • ¼ tsp. Pepper
  • 1 Lemon - wedged or sliced

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 425°F. (Preheat Air Fryer to 400°F.)
  • Line baking sheet or Air Fryer with parchment paper.
  • Put the Breadcumbs and Paprika into a shallow bowl or plate.
  • Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. Rub on all sides with the oil, salt and pepper.
  • Dredge the each fillets in the breadcrumbs, pressing to coat thoroughly on both sides. Then place on the baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes (8-10 minutes for Air Fryer) or until fish flakes easily and breading is Golden Brown. The cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  • Garnish with lemon and Serve.

Notes

Cooked Fish will keep for 2 to 3 days in the fridge. Reheat over low-medium heat in a skillet.  (Microwave is NOT recommended.)
Cooked Fish may be frozen for up to a month but the texture will deteriorate.
Air Fryers vary in Cooking times.  Flip Fish half way and watch carefully for doneness.  Breading should be golden Brown.
