Equipment

  • 8″ x 8″ cake pan
  • Large microwave-safe bowl
  • Medium Microwave-Safe Bowl
  • Electric Hand Mixer
  • Parchment Paper

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups Milk or Dark Chocolate Chips
  • 8 oz. Whipped Cream Topping
  • 24 oz. Chocolate Almond Bark

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Line an 8' x 8" cake pan with parchment paper making certain that all sides of the pan are covered and some paper hangs out to help in removal after freezing.
  • In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt 3 cups of Chocolate Chips in 30 seconds intervals, stirring each time until completely melted.
  • Add the Whip Cream to the bowl and using an electric mixer on high, beat for 30 seconds. Then continue to blend on medium for 1 more minute until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.
  • Spread the mix evenly into the parchment lined pan . Freeze for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from the freezer, transfer to a hard flat surface, and lightly score with a sharp knife around its entire edge to square it up.
  • Using a ruler as a guide, score, then cut the center mixture into your desired sized squares, about 16.
  • Separate the squares on the parchments paper to prevent them from freezing together and return to the freezer for 15 minutes.
  • While the center squares are in the freezer, melt the Almond Bark in a microwave-safe bowl for 30 seconds at a time, stirring each time until completely melted.
  • Remove the centers from the freezer and, using a fork, dip them into the melted bark. Place them back on parchment paper and return to the freezer for 20 minutes.

Notes

Finished bars may be kept in the fridge for one week or frozen for two months in a sealed container.
Use two forks to dip the bars into the Almond Bark.
After dipping, drizzle more chocolate over the bars to make a design. Use a different color for the design if desired.  Be creative.
You may use dark chocolate instead of almond bark.
