Green Bean Casserole

  • 9" x 13" Glass Casserole
  • Large Mixing Bowl

INGREDIENTS 

  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic - minced
  • 8 oz. Button Mushrooms - sliced
  • 3 cups Fresh Green Beans - tips removed – cut in half
  • ½ cup Onion - diced
  • 3 cups Chicken Broth
  • 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup - 10.75 oz.
  • ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese - grated
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • ¼ tsp. Black Pepper
  • ½ cup Crispy Onion Strings

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 350° F.
  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onions and mushrooms. Cook, stirring occasionally, until just tender. Add garlic and sauté another 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Place green beans and chicken broth in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook about 8 minutes until beans are crisp-tender and drain.
  • Spray a 9" x 13" Glass Casserole with cooking spray.
  • Place the soup, mushroom mixture, green beans, Parmesan, salt, and pepper in a large bowl and stir to combine. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and top with crispy onion strings.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, until casserole is heated through.
