Beef Tips – Crock Pot
Tender Beef Tips simmered in a rich, savory gravy. This classic is pure comfort food. Easy prep. Perfect for busy days.Difficulty: Beginner

- Large Skillet
- Crock Pot
INGREDIENTS
For the Beef Tips
- 2 lb. Beef Stew Meat or Sirloin Tips
- 1 Tbsp. EVOO
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1 tsp. Black Pepper
- 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp. Onion Powder
For the Gravy
- 1 packet Onion Soup Mix
- 1 packet Brown Gravy Mix
- 2 cups Beef Broth
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 cup Mushrooms - halved
- 1 sm. Onion - chopped
INSTRUCTIONS
- Heat Oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown beef tips for 2-3 minutes per side. Process in batches if necessary.
- Transfer beef to the crock pot. Season with Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, and Onion Powder.
- Add Onion Soup Mix, Gravy Mix, Beef Broth, and Worcestershire Sauce. Stir gently to combine.
- Add Mushrooms and Onion.
- Cover and cook:Low: 7-8 hours — High: 4-5 hours
- Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve hot.
Notes
Thickener, (optional)
To thicken gravy, mix 2 Tbsp. Cornstarch and 2 Tbsp. Cold Water to make a slurry. Stir into crock pot during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Best served with Mashed Potatoes with a drizzle of Gravy..
