2lb.Beef Stew Meat or Sirloin Tips
1Tbsp.EVOO
1tsp.Salt
1tsp.Black Pepper
1tsp.Garlic Powder
1tsp.Onion Powder
For the Gravy
1packet Onion Soup Mix
1packetBrown Gravy Mix
2cupsBeef Broth
1Tbsp.Worcestershire Sauce
1cupMushrooms - halved
1sm.Onion - chopped
INSTRUCTIONS
Heat Oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown beef tips for 2-3 minutes per side. Process in batches if necessary.
Transfer beef to the crock pot. Season with Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, and Onion Powder.
Add Onion Soup Mix, Gravy Mix, Beef Broth, and Worcestershire Sauce. Stir gently to combine.
Add Mushrooms and Onion.
Cover and cook:Low: 7-8 hours -- High: 4-5 hours
Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve hot.
Notes
Thickener, (optional) To thicken gravy, mix 2 Tbsp. Cornstarch and 2 Tbsp. Cold Water to make a slurry. Stir into crock pot during the last 30 minutes of cooking.Best served with Mashed Potatoes with a drizzle of Gravy..
