Skillet Chicken & Stuffing with Gravy
This Creamy Skillet Chicken with Stuffing and Gravy is comfort food at its best. Juicy Chicken in a Creamy Sauce, topped with Buttery Stuffing, then smothered in Velvety Gravy.Difficulty: Medium

Equipment
- Large Skillet
- Medium Mixing Bowl
- Medium SaucePan
- Whisk
INGREDIENTS…
For Chicken:
- 2 Lg Chicken Breasts - cubed
- 1 Tbsp. EVOO
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1 tsp. Black Pepper
- 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
- 6 oz. Stuffing Mix
- 6 oz. Mushrooms - sliced
- 1 ½ cups Chicken Broth - for Stuffing
- 1 can Cream Of Chicken Soup - (10.5 oz)
- ½ cup Sour Cream
- ½ cup Heavy Cream
For the Gravy:
- 3 Tbsp. Butter
- 3 Tbsp. AP Flour
- 2 ½ cups Chicken Broth - (heated)
- ½ tsp. Black Pepper
- ½ tsp. Poultry Seasoning
- Salt - to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
Brown the Chicken
- Heat Olive Oil in a large oven-safe skillet with high sides over medium heat. Season Chicken with Salt, Black Pepper, and Garlic Powder. Cook 5–6 minutes until lightly browned. Set aside on a covered plate to keep warm.
- Preheat Oven to 375°F.
Make the Chicken Base
- Sauté Mushrooms in the skillet until slightly browned. 3 to 4 minutes.
- Stir Cream Of Chicken Soup, Sour Cream, and Heavy Cream into the skillet. Simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened and Creamy.
- Return the Chicken to the skillet and stir to combine.
Prepare the Stuffing
- In a bowl, combine Stuffing Mix with hot Chicken Broth. Cover with Plastic Wrap to keep moisture in. Let sit 5 minutes to absorb.
Layer & Bake
- Spread Stuffing evenly over Chicken mixture. Bake at 375°F. for 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Make the Gravy
- Melt Butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in Flour and cook 1–2 minutes. Slowly whisk in warm Chicken Broth. Add Black Pepper and Poultry Seasoning. Simmer until thick and silky.
Serve
- Plate the Chicken & Stuffing. Then spoon Gravy over each serving.
Notes
- Stir in Shredded Cheddar for a cheesy layer underneath.
- Broil 2–3 minutes after baking for extra crispy Stuffing.
- Using Rotisserie Chicken saves time.
