Crispy Fried Chicken

Tender Fried Chicken with a brightly flavored coating that’s soft inside and crispy outside. A true taste treat.

Equipment

  • 1 Large Frying Pan
  • 1 Large Mixing Bowl
  • 1 9" x 13" Baking Dish

INGREDIENTS 

  • 2 Chicken Breasts
  • Vegetable Oil - for frying

Batter

  • 1 Lg. Egg
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 Cup AP Flour
  • 1 Tbsp. Cornstarch

Seasoning

  • 4 Cloves Garlic - minced
  • 1 Tbsp. Mustard
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • ½ tsp. Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp. Oregano
  • 1 tsp. Paprika
  • 1 Tbsp. Vanilla

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Slice Chicken Breasts crosswise into uniform 1/2″ wide filets. Set aside.
  • Make Batter by combine Egg, Cream, and Seasonings in a large bowl. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  • Arrange Chicken in Baking dish in a single layer. Pour Batter over Chicken, completely coating each piece.
  • Incorporate Cornstarch into the Flour, then slowly and evenly add to Battered Chicken ensuring Batter is lump free and all of the chicken is coated.
  • Add 1/4" of oil to the Frying Pan and heat over Medium High Heat until shimmering.
  • Place battered Chicken into oil in a single layer. Turn Chicken over when lightly golden brown.
  • Move Chicken to Paper Towel to drain excess oil and serve while still hot.
