Equipment

  • 9" Sq. Glass Baking Dish
  • Large Mixing Bowl

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb. Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese - shredded
  • ½ cup Breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese - grated
  • ¼ cup Fresh Parsley - chopped
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 cloves Garlic - minced
  • 1 tsp. Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • ½ tsp. Black Pepper
  • ½ tsp. Paprika
  • ¼ tsp. Cayenne Pepper - optional
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. EVOO
  • Spray Cooking Oil

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F and coat the baking dish with spray cooking oil.
  • In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the Ground Beef, Cheddar Cheese, Breadcrumbs, Parmesan Cheese, Fresh Parsley, Egg, Garlic, Onion Powder, Salt, Black Pepper, Paprika, and Cayenne Pepper. Add the Worcestershire Sauce. Don't overwork the mixture. That will make it stiff and dry.
  • Divide mixture into fourths. Shape burgers into rounds ~ 1" thick. Arrange on a baking dish and drizzle lightly with EVOO.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the burgers are fully cooked and evenly browned with crispy edges and bubbling cheese.
  • Allow to rest before serving.

Notes

These burgers work with Ground Turkey as well.
