Beef Stir Fry

Tender strips of Beef, crisp Broccoli, sweet Carrots, and Noodles, tossed together for a truly authentic Oriental flavor.

Equipment

  • Wok (or Large Skillet)
  • Whisk
  • Large Pot (for Noodles)
  • Small Mixing Bowl

INGREDIENTS… 

For Beef

  • 1 lb Flank Steak - thinly sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. Cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp.
  • Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp. Sesame Oil

For Sauce

  • cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Oyster Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Hoisin Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
  • ½ cup Beef Broth
  • 2 cloves Garlic - minced
  • 1 tsp. Ginger - freshly grated

For Stir Fry

  • 12 oz Lo Mein Noodles
  • 1 ½ cups Broccoli Florets
  • 1 cup Shredded Carrots
  • 1 cup Sliced Cabbage
  • 1 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil
  • 1 tsp. Sesame Oil
  • Sesame Seeds - optional garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Cook Noodles until al denté. Drain and set aside.
  • In a bowl, toss sliced Flank Steak with Cornstarch, Soy Sauce, and Sesame Oil. Marinate for 10 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together all Sauce ingredients.
  • Heat Vegetable Oil in a Lg. skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add Flank Steak in a single layer. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add Broccoli, Carrots, and Cabbage. Stir fry 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender.
  • Return Flank Steak to the pan.
  • Add Noodles and Sauce. Toss well. Cook 2–3 minutes until heated through and glossy.
  • Drizzle with Sesame Oil and sprinkle with Sesame Seeds before serving.

Notes

Serve hot straight from the wok.
Add Red Pepper Flakes for extra heat.
