Beef and Cabbage – Simple

This Cabbage and Ground Beef comfort bowl is cozy, satisfying, and perfect for a low-carb dinner.

Equipment

  • 12” Covered Skillet with Deep Sides

INGREDIENTS… 

  • 1 lb. Ground Beef
  • 4 cups Cabbage - chopped
  • 1 medium Onion - chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic - minced
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes - with juices
  • 1 tsp. Bouillon Powder
  • 1 tsp. Cumin
  • 1 tsp. Smoked Paprika
  • ½ tsp. Cayenne Pepper - to taste
  • 1 tsp. Salt - to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown Ground Beef (5 to 7 minutes).
  • Push Beef to the side. Add Onion and cook until soft, then stir in Garlic.
  • Add Diced Tomatoes and all seasonings. Bring to a gentle boil, then simmer 5 minutes.
  • Fold in chopped Cabbage. Cover and cook 10 to 15 minutes until tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve warm.

Notes

Top with shredded cheese or sour cream for extra richness.
Stores well in the refrigerator.
