Beef and Cabbage – Simple
This Cabbage and Ground Beef comfort bowl is cozy, satisfying, and perfect for a low-carb dinner.Difficulty: Beginner
Servings 4 people
Equipment
- 12” Covered Skillet with Deep Sides
INGREDIENTS…
- 1 lb. Ground Beef
- 4 cups Cabbage - chopped
- 1 medium Onion - chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic - minced
- 1 can Diced Tomatoes - with juices
- 1 tsp. Bouillon Powder
- 1 tsp. Cumin
- 1 tsp. Smoked Paprika
- ½ tsp. Cayenne Pepper - to taste
- 1 tsp. Salt - to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown Ground Beef (5 to 7 minutes).
- Push Beef to the side. Add Onion and cook until soft, then stir in Garlic.
- Add Diced Tomatoes and all seasonings. Bring to a gentle boil, then simmer 5 minutes.
- Fold in chopped Cabbage. Cover and cook 10 to 15 minutes until tender, stirring occasionally.
- Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve warm.
Notes
Top with shredded cheese or sour cream for extra richness.
Stores well in the refrigerator.
