INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Place the Ground Beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart and cooking for 7 to 10 minutes or until fully browned.
- While Beef cooks, peel and thinly slice potatoes.
- When Beef is done, drain any excess fat.
- Return the skillet with the Beef to medium heat and add Onion. Sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until translucent and fragrant.

- In a small bowl whisk together the Milk and melted Butter, and pour over the top layer. Make sure it seeps through.
- Finish with Shredded Cheese in an even top layer.
- Cover with foil and bake 45 minutes until the potatoes soften. Remove foil and continue baking for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Potatoes should then be fork tender
- Garnish with finely chopped Thyme and Rosemary.
- Allow the casserole to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Freshly shredded Cheese gives a creamier texture.
Use thin Potato Layers to ensure the milk reaches all slices.
For crispy edges, finish under a broiler for 1–2 minutes, monitoring carefully.
