Crescent Sausage Rolls

A simple, no fuss delight that will have everyone fighting for the last roll.

Equipment

INGREDIENTS 

  • 1 pkg. Crescent Roll Dough - 8 oz.
  • ½ lb. Breakfast Sausage - ground
  • 4 oz. Cream Cheese - softened
  • ½ cup Cheddar Cheese - shredded
  • 1 Egg - beaten – for egg wash

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a skillet, cook the Sausage over medium heat until crumbled, browned, and fully cooked. Drain excess fat and set aside to cool slightly.
  • In a bowl, mix the cooked Sausage with the softened Cream Cheese and Cheddar Cheese.
  • Unroll the Crescent Roll Dough. Separate it into triangles and spoon 1/8 of the mixture onto the wide end of each triangle (about 1 Tbsp.).
  • Roll up the triangles, starting from the wide end, tucking in the filling (but not the dough) as you roll. Place the Croissants on the baking sheet.
  • Brush each with the beaten Egg for a golden finish.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
