Cheesy Onions

Easy and delicious Cheesy Onions. Sliced Onions layered with seasonings, butter, and cheese.

Equipment

  • 9" x 13" Glass Casserole

INGREDIENTS 

  • 3 or 4 Sweet Onions
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp. Italian Seasoning
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • ¼ tsp. Black Pepper
  • 4 Tbsp. Unsalted Butter - thinly sliced
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese - shredded
  • 2 cups Italian Blend Cheese or Mozzarella - shredded
  • ½ cup Parmesan Cheese - grated

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with cooking oil spray.
  • Peel, cut off ends, and slice the Onions to 1/4″ thick. Separate the slices into rings.
  • Lay the Onions into the greased baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the Garlic Powder, Italian Seasonings, Salt, and Pepper over the Onions.
  • Uniformly spread the pats of Butter over the Onions.
  • Spread the Cheese over the Onions in 3 layers of Cheddar, then Italian Blend or Mozzarella, and finally the Parmesan.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is melted and golden brown.
  • Remove from oven, allow to rest for 5 minutes, then serve warm.
