INGREDIENTS
1lb.Ground Beef - or Italian Sausage, Ground Turkey
½cupBreadcrumbs
¼cupGrated Parmesan
1Egg
2clovesGarlic - minced
1tsp.Italian Seasoning
Salt and Pepper - to taste
2cupsMarinara Sauce
1 ½cupsMozzarella Cheese - shredded
2Tbsp.EVOO
Fresh parsley - optional, for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
In a mixing bowl, combine Ground Beef, Breadcrumbs, Parmesan, Egg, Garlic, Italian Seasoning, Salt, and Pepper.
Gently mix and form into 1" meatballs.
Heat EVOO in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
Add the Meatballs and cook about 5–6 minutes until just browned on all sides Remove and set aside.
Pour Marinara Sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer.
Return the meatballs to the sauce. Cover and simmer on low for 10 minutes until meatballs are cooked through.
Sprinkle Mozzarella Cheese over the Meatballs.
Place skillet in oven (or under Broiler) until cheese is melted and bubbly, about 3–5 minutes.
Serve, hot, over Pasta with Italian Bread
Notes
Use your favorite Pasta. (Spaghetti, Fettuccine, Linguine, Angel Hair, Fusilli, or Farfalle) Best over Penne. It holds the sauce best.Substitute Italian Sausage or even Ground Turkey for the Beef.This also goes great over cooked Rice.
