INGREDIENTS
1Tbsp.Butter
1mediumOnion - sliced
8ozMushrooms - sliced
2Tbsp.AP Flour
2cupsBeef Broth
1Tbsp.Worcestershire Sauce
Salt and Black Pepper - to taste
¼tsp.Gravy Master (Optional) - for color
INSTRUCTIONS
In your skillet along with pan drippings from cooking, melt Butter and add Onions and Mushrooms. Sauté until softened and Onions are transparent.
Carefully sprinkle flour over the Onions and Mushrooms and stir until absorbed.
Slowly add the Beef Broth and Worcestershire Sauce stirring constantly with a whisk. Be sure there are no lumps of flour.
Reduce heat, add Gravy Master (if used to darken color), and simmer until the gravy thickens.
Notes
Serve over Beef, Veal, Tofu, or Turkey with Mashed Potatoes, Rice, or Egg noodles.For Chicken Gravy, use Chicken Broth and omitWorcestershire Sauce and Gravy Master.
